SPRING CLEANING!

I am in the mood for cleaning, so yesterday I got out my notebook and wrote down everything that needed to be done to every room. Mainly so Randall could see it and give me a helping hand. HAHA! Yeah right huh?

You may not know that I hate cleaning. My cleaning considers of stacking the mess into a neat pile. Not too great huh? I keep my house looking good enough, but I wish it was perfect like most people's house. I don't think I can do that watching children all week long though. Ruthie is pretty good at picking up and putting things back, so I can't complain about her.

Anyways, I got our bedroom mostly done. I cleaned windows, the dresser, tv, sidetables, gun cabinet, and my jewelry box. The blinds were clean enough. I plan on doing baseboards, the ceiling fans, and organizing the closest. Fun fun I tell you! Actually, I am looking forward b/c our room already feels much better.

We plan on rearranging our living room again. I want it back the way it was before winter hit. When winter hit, we had to put the wood stove in, and I hate where our couch is. Plus, there isn't any room for our coffee table right now. When we rearrange it, we will have lots more room!

Randall is trading a guy some headphones for some laminate flooring. I hope it's enough to do the back bedroom. We don't use most the rooms in our house, such as the back bedroom, nor the 3 rooms upstairs. So, we plan on laying this laminate flooring in the back bedroom b/c it has AWFUL carpet. It's so embarrassing I won't even explain it....seriously!

The main reason I want to get started on the back bedroom is b/c Randall and I finally discussed trying to conceive our next child. We both talked about March of this year, back in December, but I changed my mind, which is odd, b/c I am always the one pushing. I just felt like we both needed to find a church, find ourselves, and make some progress in our marriage. I feel like we accomplished all of those. It's an amazing feeling. We talked about trying in a few months, like May/June. We might change our mind, but for right now we will try soon. I want to start on the room before we even start trying, so here is our chance!

It's finally the weekend. It's been a long week. I have been working on losing weight. (Yes, again) I just felt like after we talked about another baby, I had a lot of work to do on my exterior. It sucks, but hey, I need to right?! I weigh 10 lbs more than after I had Ruthie. Sad to say, but it is true. I am gulping down the water and doing exercise when I can. I have taken the kids for walks down the dirt road and they love that! Today I pulled out the gazelle and did 1.5 miles and did some crunches. Lets just hope it all works!

Have a great weekend everyone!

Something I truly needed-

I finally received! I have been wanting a new bible for quite some time now. (I had a teen bible that I receive back in 2000 or so. I needed something more adult like) I just haven't been to a place that had enough to choose from. We live in a tiny town, so we have to drive 1 hour to get to a decent bookstore. Anyways, I pick out a woman's devotional bible. I started reading Revelations a couple of nights ago. I have read the Left Behind series, which I thought were amazing, but I wanted to read it in His words. So, today's devotional happened to be about the same subject that I also read this morning on Bethanne's blog. It's odd b/c I know it happens to us all, yet most aren't ready to admit it.

The devotional was titled, "Imperfect, yet forgiven." Isn't that the truth, and praise to Him b/c we are. Thanks to Him we are saved by grace and we are able to live eternally with Him. The scripture that relates to this is:

Revelation 12:10-11
"For the accuser of our brothers, who accuses them before our God day and night, has been hurled down. They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death."

It went on to ask if we are defensive when people accuse us of sin. I know there are many times when I am. Why are we? We are ALL sinners. Everyone knows this. Why defend it? Instead we need to just smile, and say "I am a sinner, but Hallelujah, I am forgiven!"

Sometimes I find myself putting a burden on me that I don't need to. I find myself worrying about why people do the things they do. Randall and I both do this often. We were talking about it last night on the way home, and I was reminded of Tara's post a while back about just holding your hand up and letting Him help you through it all. Why is something so easy, so hard? I need to just ask Him for help, and He will be there. I finally just realized that it isn't my job to worry about why they do the things they do, and I prayed, and prayed hard. I get so stressed out over things that have nothing to do with me. I worry & cry, while all I need to do is lift my hand up and let Him help.

Absolutely amazing!

Our church service was amazing today. I was told we were having a play. I wasn't expecting this sort of play. Words can't describe how awesome it was. The lights, sounds, and the amazing experience, I truly enjoyed myself. It makes me feel good to sit in church and get something out of it. I had goosebumps the whole time. I was in tears. I wish everyone knew what a sacrifice He made just for you and me. It makes me sad to know there are people who don't know. That's why we are here right?! My mom and dad joined us today. I hope they enjoyed it as much as I did. We are truly blessed to have found this church and be a part of it. I am thrilled to be some comfortable there. I have to say that Easter is my favorite holiday. What a glorious day.
He lives, He lives, Christ Jesus lives
today!
He walks with me and He talks with me
Along life's narrow way.
He lives, He live, salvation to impart!
You ask me how I know He lives:
He lives within my heart.

What amazing words!

My family got together today to celebrate Easter. My sister Sue and her family is out of town, so it was sad that they weren't with us. There were in my thoughts though.

Randall and my brother Joe had to work tonight, so the celebration was cut short. We had beans and cornbread and let the kiddos hunt eggs. It was a lot of fun for everyone! The kids had a ball hunting for the eggs. The party was at our house b/c my mom wasn't ready for us to have it at her house.

I have included a few photos from today!

This one was taken before church.
The Easter Bunny came while we were at church. This pinwheel has ladybugs on it, and she LOVES ladybugs!
Aw, the beloved Lightning. She is in love with him right now!
I wanted a good photo with her basket, so I gave her a ring pop that she got from Nana!
Trying to find the most eggs!

Posing with her sweet cousins!
Opening all her candy and saying "CHEESE!"

Have A Blessed Easter!

I hope everyone has a blessed Easter! I can't wait for our church service tomorrow!

My family is going to get together tomorrow around 5. We are going to eat dinner and let the kids play. Randall is working tonight and tomorrow night, but he is going to join us for church.

The last few days have been super nice. I have been off since last Tuesday! Shock, I know! She has missed her friends this week, that's for sure. She has asked for all of them. I have had so much fun playing with Ruthie. It was nice to give her all of my attention. We went to the park, rode on the 4-wheeler, visited Grandmama and Pappy, Nana & Papa, and went shopping! She loved riding the 4-wheeler. She didn't want to get off. It was nice b/c we went to the train tracks, saw a turtle, and a school bus, which she is obsessed with now! I plan on uploading some pics from this week in a little bit, so I will post them later.

Randall and I need to go visit his Dad. It has been a while since we last went up there. I know we plan on it as soon as he is off on weekends.

Well, Ruthie is ready to get in her jammas. That girl is OBSESSED with jammas, like her Momma!

I hope everyone enjoys time with family & friends celebrating the resurrection of our Lord!

Updates-

Whew. It's been a while since I last posted. This will probably be a long post, but there are photos at the end! ;)

It's been a rough couple of weeks. Last Friday, my Grandma went into the hospital b/c her legs were turning black b/c her heart was pumping enough blood. We thought she would be in and out. We were wrong. She didn't make it. She went to be with the Lord last Monday, 3.3.08, around 5 am. She did go peacefully. When I visited her on that Friday, she was struggling so hard to breathe. As much as I didn't want her to leave, I knew that the moment she passed, she would be walking with the Lord without any pain in her legs, and breathing easily. It was hard to see her like that. I prayed long and hard about it and the Lord was with me by my side the whole time. Her funeral was Thursday. She was an amazing woman. I shared a birthday with her that I will forever treasure. I also share her middle name, Ruth, which of course I named Ruthie after as well. I miss her so much. I know many do.

My niece was also in the hospital. She is only 6 months. She had pneumonia. It took her a long time to recover, but she is better now. It took a toll on my brother, sister-in-law, and both my nieces. They were in a rough spot, but thankfully she is healthy now.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Our church has been a.m.a.z.i.n.g. through out the past few weeks. They were so kind. Brother Troy went to see my Grandma while she was in the hospital. They went to the visitation, and the funeral. What kind and loving church family we have. I have never felt like I made such a good decision in choosing our church! I feel so loved. It is a wonderful feeling. Randall feels the same. I am so thankful we found a place to worship Him.

One thing that I am thankful for is the sessions on prayer. I felt like the Lord had Brother Troy speak about prayer for this reason. I don't want to know how I would have felt losing my Grandma and not being so strong in prayer. I found so much comfort and peace in prayer. I knew she would be in a better place. The Lord has truly blessed us.

Ruthie is growing like a weed, and amazing us everyday. What a smart little girl we have! She talks NONSTOP. Motor mouth is what we should call her. She talks our heads off!

We had a lot of snow lately. Friday, we had a beautiful blanket of snow around our area. My sister, 2 nephews, niece, Randall, Ruthie, and I went out in the pasture and had a snowball fight and built a snowman. We all had a ball! Because of that blanket of snow, we had no electricity from 1:30 am to 11 pm. Thank goodness for our wood stove. I know I hated it in the beginning, but I want it now! I enjoy the heat is produces, much more than our propane. Who would of thought huh? We were able to dry our wet clothes from the snow, shoes, and even cook bacon and eggs! HAHA! My niece and nephew didn't know what to think! They enjoyed it though! Here are a few photos to show off our beautiful snow!
