It's another Monday. I am curious to know how many we have left until summer!
We had a good weekend. Saturday, we ventured out into the city and enjoyed ourselves. I got a bit overwhelmed toward the end. The kids were fussy, the lunch we ate was horrible, and it was wayyyyy past naptime. In fact....I don't think either one had a nap that day!
Randall has been asking me what I want for my birthday. I don't know about most people, but I feel as though my birthday is just another day. It's not a big deal to me. I get more excited about my kids birthdays. I tried to convince him that I didn't want anything, but he knew better. He was holding out on me. While we ventured out into the city, he stopped at Best Buy and made me get the one thing I have been holding out for....a speedlight for my camera. My house has CRAPPY natural light, so I have had to use my camera on auto inside and the photos were....well, not the greatest! The reason I said he MADE me is b/c he seriously did. I wasn't going to get it b/c I hate spending money on myself. Ruthie was asking if we could get the Hello Kitty game for her DS. Randall told her (this is wrong!!) that she could as long as I got my speedlight. Seriously!? Isn't that mean?! How could I tell her she couldn't get it? So, I went ahead and got the SB-600. I was over the moon, but I am still terrified of that thing! I have SOOOO much to learn, but I am more than willing. I took some test shots, and even though I had no clue what I was doing, the photos still look sooooo much better than on auto! Randall is the best! He does love me! :)
Sunday, we started a "Love and Respect Class." I was so excited to see how many people showed up! Randall and I have sat through it before and it helped our marriage SOOOO much. We are in a much better place now, closer to God, and I can't wait to see what He shows us this time! You can read more about it here. I posted about it a long time ago.
Hope everyone enjoyed their weekend!
I got a new phone (free) and it's a big change from my old phone. Ruthie loves to scroll through the pics.
If Ruthie's playing with it, Randy HAS to see!!
Finally, it was his turn! There's a dice tumbler game and he LOVES it!
This one was just too cute of him eating. He's such a little turkey...a turkey that I ADORE!

Hi Sadie! It has been a long time since I have seen pictures of your kiddos, they are adorable! I can not believe our Feb Sweethearts will be 5 years old.
I don't like having money spent on me either, especially when I think of all the things Zack could use.
What in the world is a speedlight! All I know is I need one now! I took some pictures of a baby inside yesterday and its so difficult because my indoor photography sucks! Teach me wise one!!
What a great gift! Randall knows you well. :)
I read the Love and Respect book and it was really good. My husband is in a mens class at church and they are going to use that book.
