Whew....exhausted BUT......

Ladies, if your church has a women's retreat- YOU NEED TO GO!

I had so much fun! I can't even begin to tell you how much I adore the ladies of my church. We had 2 sessions, and the rest was just F.U.N!

Our retreat was held here, and our speaker was Judy, a singer from Heaven's Echoes, a southern gospel quartet, with an amazing testimony! She is an amazing woman. Her story has touched many lives. We talked about having beautiful feet and how our feet need to always worship the Lord. We need to be witnesses EVERYWHERE we go. We also talked about how we are like a rose bush- we need pruning from time to time as well. God will prune us, but when He does, we will blossom like never before. What an amazing woman!

Friday night we were LATE! See, when you have 8 women riding in a church van with a short description on how to get to the middle of nowhere, you are bound to get lost. Let's just say we visited EGYPT! LOL! Seriously, I felt like we were headed to a different land. We laughed so much. We were on a dirt road "thinking" we were headed in the right direction. Luckily, we had plenty of snacks and drinks b/c if you know women- we will always have plenty of the stuff we need such as cookies, brownies, pie, candy, but not veggies or fruit b/c that's not what we truly need! We end up calling another woman who was already there and finally we found the place. It was gorgeous.

I won't go into too much detail b/c I could write forever. Let's just say that I definately felt YOUNG and OLD this weekend. Here's how I felt-

12 years old- When our pastor's wife bought fake mice and put them in other people's beds. Talk about a good time (if you are helping and not finding the mice!)
85 years old- When I woke up after staying up until 1:30 am and getting up at 8 am. I am NOT a person who can function off few hours of sleep. But, knowing that I was the second youngest person there, I felt ridiculous going to bed before everyone else.

We had an amazing time and I can't wait to go back next year!

Ready for the weekend!!!

Who's with me?! I am so excited that it is finally Friday. Being a working mom, I tresure my Fridays b/c that means that I get Saturday & Sunday with my babies. BUT, not this weekend....I am headed to a Women's Retreat with our church. I will miss my babies, but time to dive into God's Word and treasure my church family is worth it. Randall and my parents will be taking care of them while I am gone. I know they'll be in good hands. Randall has to work Saturday day, but they are excited to be with Grandmama and Pappy!

Guess what....it must be skunk season at our house. YUCK! I can still smell it on me. Kind of embarrasing though. I had to change my shirt when I got here. Apparently it sprayed near my truck b/c that's all I can smell when I am in my truck. SO, I packed for my retreat, and after I got to work, I put everything in the back of my truck to air out! HAHA! I hope it gets aired out b/c it smells HORRIBLE! I hate it! Hopefully Randall will catch that sucker tonight!

Well, I hope everyone has a great weekend. I have enjoyed some of the posts I have been reading the past couple of days. There are some amazing Christian women on these blogs and I truly enjoy reading about their day to day life! HAPPY FRIDAY PEOPLE!
