Ruthie {my girl}

I knew I wanted to do a Ruthie post as well, so I thought now is as good of a time as ever.  Let's just say this little girl was a big surprise for me all around.  I didn't think she would be a girl, she was.  I thought she would be like me, a tomboy, she is FAR from it.  The thing is, I wouldn't change it for the world.  She has taught me how to play barbies, made me learn to mess with hair, and learn to like shopping for cute clothes for her.  (I still think dinosaurs are easier!)  Let's just say having a girl has been a big learning experience for me and I LOVE IT!  She is my first born, but will always be my baby!  I love this sweet girl.  She's my snuggle bunny, my Georgia Peach, my Sister Bear.  She teaches me so much about motherhood.  God knew what He was doing when He blessed me with her.

She has taught me so much.  I love you sweetheart!

In honor of Mother's Day

I am going to make a post on mothers!!!  Imagine that huh!?

I know that I JUST made a post on my mom, but I can't help doing it again b/c she is one special woman.

I was able to enjoy a day with my mom, sisters, aunt, cousin, nieces, nephews, and my kids.  We went to visit my niece, eat lunch, and shop at the all.  Yes, it was hectic and a bit stressful, but what should we expect with kids and shopping!  Those two words don't belong in the same sentence, let alone a day together!  On a more serious note, I truly enjoyed myself.  It's been a looooong time since I have been out with just girls.  I was even able to buy myself something!  MIRACLE!

In honor of Mother's Day, I want to post a list of why my mom is so wonderful!
1. She taught me about Jesus.  What can I say?!  That's the number one reason!
2. She taught me how to find the right one and stick with it even through the hard times.
3. She taught me how to raise my children right.
4. She taught me to be patient.  She DID wait 11 years for a pool!
5. She taught me to pick my battles.  You KNOW she had to with me!
6. She taught me to love my children no matter what.  Betweent the five of us, she went through a lot!
7. She taught me to be simple and love the small things in life.
8. She taught me to work hard.  My mom was NEVER lazy.  She has always worked her butt off.
9. She taught me that I could be whoever I wanted to be.
10. She taught me to stick up for what I believe in.

I could go on and on.  I am including another photo of my mom.  I hope she doesn't mind her photo being on here.
God has blessed me indeed.
I also have some amazing sisters,, mother-in-laws, and sister-in-laws that have taught me how to be a good mom.  I love you all. AND, b/c I can't post without showing off the precious two who made me a mom, here are my babies.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to all you precious moms out there!

Mothers

I recently did a post on fathers, and tonight I am being led to post one on mothers.  When I took this photo of my parents, I knew exactly how I was going to use it on here.  I was going to put my beautiful mother's photo up here, and brag on her!

Being a mother is one of the hardest job ever, but it is such a priveledge.  Think about it, God is trusting you to raise His children.  What an honor!  My mom is amazing.  She has always had a great ear for listening.  Trust me, I was NOT the easiest child to live with.  I was the baby....a bit spoiled.  But, I can say that my mom taught me about the most important thing in the world- salvation, and how to get salvation- through Jesus.  I remember her telling me that in order to go to heaven- I have to ask Jesus into my heart.  I did.  Thank goodness I had a woman of God as my mother.

My mom was and still is one hard working woman.  She works too hard in my honest opinion.  She is a very patient woman.  She did wait 11 years for the pool of her dreams!  She taught me how to love my children and she taught me to be picky when it came to the man of my dreams.  She married a wonderful man.  Of course, they had rough times, but she stuck through the hard times and they have a wonderful marriage.  I can only dream Randall and I will still love each other that much when we are that age.

Being a mother is such an honor.  I look at my precious babies every day and wonder how God could trust me to raise two precious children.  My prayer for them is that one day they come to know Christ.

Thank you mom for raising me right and teaching the ways to be a good mother.  I love you!
