Updates-

Whew. It's been a while since I last posted. This will probably be a long post, but there are photos at the end! ;)

It's been a rough couple of weeks. Last Friday, my Grandma went into the hospital b/c her legs were turning black b/c her heart was pumping enough blood. We thought she would be in and out. We were wrong. She didn't make it. She went to be with the Lord last Monday, 3.3.08, around 5 am. She did go peacefully. When I visited her on that Friday, she was struggling so hard to breathe. As much as I didn't want her to leave, I knew that the moment she passed, she would be walking with the Lord without any pain in her legs, and breathing easily. It was hard to see her like that. I prayed long and hard about it and the Lord was with me by my side the whole time. Her funeral was Thursday. She was an amazing woman. I shared a birthday with her that I will forever treasure. I also share her middle name, Ruth, which of course I named Ruthie after as well. I miss her so much. I know many do.

My niece was also in the hospital. She is only 6 months. She had pneumonia. It took her a long time to recover, but she is better now. It took a toll on my brother, sister-in-law, and both my nieces. They were in a rough spot, but thankfully she is healthy now.

Our church has been a.m.a.z.i.n.g. through out the past few weeks. They were so kind. Brother Troy went to see my Grandma while she was in the hospital. They went to the visitation, and the funeral. What kind and loving church family we have. I have never felt like I made such a good decision in choosing our church! I feel so loved. It is a wonderful feeling. Randall feels the same. I am so thankful we found a place to worship Him.

One thing that I am thankful for is the sessions on prayer. I felt like the Lord had Brother Troy speak about prayer for this reason. I don't want to know how I would have felt losing my Grandma and not being so strong in prayer. I found so much comfort and peace in prayer. I knew she would be in a better place. The Lord has truly blessed us.

Ruthie is growing like a weed, and amazing us everyday. What a smart little girl we have! She talks NONSTOP. Motor mouth is what we should call her. She talks our heads off!

We had a lot of snow lately. Friday, we had a beautiful blanket of snow around our area. My sister, 2 nephews, niece, Randall, Ruthie, and I went out in the pasture and had a snowball fight and built a snowman. We all had a ball! Because of that blanket of snow, we had no electricity from 1:30 am to 11 pm. Thank goodness for our wood stove. I know I hated it in the beginning, but I want it now! I enjoy the heat is produces, much more than our propane. Who would of thought huh? We were able to dry our wet clothes from the snow, shoes, and even cook bacon and eggs! HAHA! My niece and nephew didn't know what to think! They enjoyed it though! Here are a few photos to show off our beautiful snow!

Hi Sadie - Thanks for visiting me. I'm sorry to read of your Grandma's passing. I'm a nurse in a nursing home so this is near to my heart. What a blessing that you know where she is and that she is no longer in pain!
I loved your pictures. The tree is beautiful, as is your daughter!
