Week One {Project52}

I realized that last year, I didn't do photography for myself. I found myself shooting only portraits of my kids, and not just snaps. I miss those simple snaps. So, this year, I am making a goal to start capturing photos for myself. I want to get out there and use my camera more and think outside of the box. So, I started this year off with a photography project called Project 52. I will capture at least ONE photo a week. I asked Ruthie to go outside with me to do some photos. She was game. (Thank goodness she doesn't run from my camera or I would have been out of luck!) I have always wanted an "eyelash" shot of her. I went for it. I know there are many "eyelash" photos better than this one, but I was pleased with what I got. Most are taken with a macro (I think) and I don't have that, so I used my nifty fifty. Here's what I got and I am pleased! So, this is the start of my P52!
