Life Is Precious + 34/52

Last Wednesday, we had a memorial service.  To kick off the service we put 4,000 crosses in our church lawn to represent the 4,000 babies aborted daily in the U.S.  Four thousand is quite a large number.  Too large.  In fact, this was refered to a Holocaust.  That was well said.  It breaks my heart to think there are precious babies in Heaven b/c they were unwanted by their mothers/fathers.  Although abortion is highly disliked, the wonderful thing is- God FORGIVES.  Yes, He does.  He is one amazing God.  If you have experienced this, please know that God loves you and forgives you.  A sin is a sin.  He cast your sin as far as the east is from the west.
Our crosses represent the life that those babies lost.  We had so many people out helping.  It amazed me b/c we had coaches bring out their players and helped us out.  We had people from all different denominations.  It wasn't as hot as it has been, but it was still nasty hot.  Everyone was sweating, but everyone was there doing this for the right reason.  I was amazed.  It was so nice to see the community come together like this and take a stand.

Even the young ones were able to lend a helping hand!

This man amazes me.  He is not the healthiest, yet he was out there working just as hard as anyone else.

I love this one b/c it's Randall (l) and my nephew (r) hammering away on a cross representing an aborted child now in Heaven with Jesus.
Probably one of my favs.  I just love the view and the thought that our community took this stand.

I am so proud to be a part of West Park Baptist Church.  If you are around the Ozark area, please drive down Hillbilly Drive (same road the high school & public pool) and look to your right.  You will see the 4,000 crosses in the lawn.  We are trying to bring awareness to the community.

Sadie - this is such an awesome post! Seeing all those crosses really does bring awareness and I love that so many people worked together to do this.

Of course, I absolutely LOVE this! It was one of those events that you hated to see end, even though it was a lot of work. Very blessed to have been apart of it! Precious babies.
