If only everday

was as good as today and I owe it all to Him. Our sermon last night hit me hard. I know I already discussed it, but I want to discuss it some more!

Our preacher, which I will now refer to as Brother Troy, gave us a few verses to look up. Here is the first one-

Ecclesiastes 8:1 -
"Who is like a wise man? And who know the interpretation of a thing? A man's wisdom makes his face shine and the sternness of his face is changed."

This one came next-
Matthew 5:16 -
"Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven."

This is the one that made me realize what I was doing wrong. I need to let my light shine so people can see my good works and find the Lord.

All I have is an old bible from when I was in high school. It was given to me by my cousin. It is the Extreme Teen bible. I had it when I was learning a lot about the Lord, so I find it hard to part with. I want a new bible, so if anyone knows of a good one, let me know. In the back of my bible, it has some studying I can do. I chose to do the 30 days with Jesus. I think this is a good beginning to my studies. I want to learn more about Him and show people that I am a happy Christian. I want them to want what I have, meaning happiness with Him.

Every time I started to get upset today, I remember that it will only harden my face along with my soul, so I stopped and looked at my sweet Ruthie and I was instantly happy again. I just need to remember this daily.

Speaking of Ruthie, she has melted my heart all over again. She never fails to amaze me. We have this one little book that she loves to look at. It has all kinds of animals in it. Normally, she just says what they say, like "moo" for a cow. Well tonight, I wanted her to say them by name, and she said probably 3/4 of them by name. I never realized how much she does learn. She is so smart. I put her in my lap tonight and she would repeat names of our family members. She loves to do this. I would say a name, and she would repeat it. Of course, coming from a 1.5 year old, they don't sound exactly like I say them, so I would smile from ear to ear hearing her say hard names like Amethyst. She would giggle every time I would smile and it would make me giggle. I love sweet moments like that. She loves me to sing to her. When I start to sing, "Jesus Loves Me", "This Little Light Of Mine", or "Jesus Loves The Little Children," she goes and gets the book that has those songs in it. She loves to sing with me. She is just as precious as can be. Her smile can light up the grumpiest person's day. She fell asleep while I rocked her. We don't normally do that, but I was in need of some snuggles tonight and I got lots!

Speaking of singing, I wanted to add this video. I love hearing her say "amen!" ENJOY!

Wow, Tara was right when she said blogging is addicting. I like having this here to put my thoughts into words.

I hope everyone has had as good of a Monday as I have!
