Ladies, if your church has a women's retreat- YOU NEED TO GO!
I had so much fun! I can't even begin to tell you how much I adore the ladies of my church. We had 2 sessions, and the rest was just F.U.N!
Our retreat was held here, and our speaker was Judy, a singer from Heaven's Echoes, a southern gospel quartet, with an amazing testimony! She is an amazing woman. Her story has touched many lives. We talked about having beautiful feet and how our feet need to always worship the Lord. We need to be witnesses EVERYWHERE we go. We also talked about how we are like a rose bush- we need pruning from time to time as well. God will prune us, but when He does, we will blossom like never before. What an amazing woman!
Friday night we were LATE! See, when you have 8 women riding in a church van with a short description on how to get to the middle of nowhere, you are bound to get lost. Let's just say we visited EGYPT! LOL! Seriously, I felt like we were headed to a different land. We laughed so much. We were on a dirt road "thinking" we were headed in the right direction. Luckily, we had plenty of snacks and drinks b/c if you know women- we will always have plenty of the stuff we need such as cookies, brownies, pie, candy, but not veggies or fruit b/c that's not what we truly need! We end up calling another woman who was already there and finally we found the place. It was gorgeous.
I won't go into too much detail b/c I could write forever. Let's just say that I definately felt YOUNG and OLD this weekend. Here's how I felt-
12 years old- When our pastor's wife bought fake mice and put them in other people's beds. Talk about a good time (if you are helping and not finding the mice!)
85 years old- When I woke up after staying up until 1:30 am and getting up at 8 am. I am NOT a person who can function off few hours of sleep. But, knowing that I was the second youngest person there, I felt ridiculous going to bed before everyone else.
We had an amazing time and I can't wait to go back next year!
